Marketing Plan 1 Page Sprint

This is a marketing plan you can do in 5 days. It’s going to take you from bare bones plan to an established strategy for a particular channel.

Day 1 Identify The Objective And Audience Do Some Research

Within this first day choosing a right team is crucial to come up with ideas, data and insights. Every technical expertise can contribute to innovative ideas.

Identifying the customer for which your product or services gives more value. Anecdotes from the other members which had direct interactions with them.

*Finally establishing the goal of the marketing strategy without counting conversions. Make sure to be specific and measurable; this means having an exact number to reach. Ex. Growing a list of 100 new leads from webinars in the next quarter.

Day 2 Choose How To Capture New Leads

Selecting one channel to lead the capture system. This doesnโ€™t mean you ignore all the other channels, but to focus first on the one that brings the more results first. Then work around the others by re purposing content to the other mediums.

We got the target market with a series of pain points that they want to find solutions. For your next task, come up with the messages to that particular target market. What are you telling that prospect about the problem and the specific solution?

A sample structure for a value proposition could be. Identifying problem X in the industry then if not handled, can get worse. We are lucky that we provide a solution to X by doing Y in a Z way (Differentiated Way).

Day 3 Determine How They Nurture From The Brand

How are we capturing all the people that interact with my brand? This is by having a system that can record contact information of interested people. The system must have a way to register that information in one place.

There must be a clear way to continue providing these people value. They could see relevant to their marketing strategies. You can have a newsletter they see every month, blog post or social media. This content must focus on how the company product benefits them in a unique way.

Finally you must have a system to convert these interested people into customers. This could be by a call, demo, or offer explaining how your solution is the way to solve their problem.

Day 4 Choose A Way To Make The Service Top Class

Now we must deliver a great service that can surprise their expectations. Some thing simple as sending a letter, basket, remembering their birthday. Something they can appreciate and did not expect makes a better experience.

Then you have to come up with a way to make a customer buy more times to increase their lifetime value. Common tactics you can use are down-selling or up-selling. These means offering a complementary product that costs lower than the primary product.

Closing up the strategy of how to generate referrals from the customer or alliances. Referral means the customer refers your product or service to people they know. This is usually in exchange for something like a discount of a product or credit for the service.

Day 5 Execute An Initiative That Can Be Implemented With Least Effort

Pick out the channel with the strategy that can take the least effort but has the biggest impact. Not expecting outlandish results in the first day of the implementation. It takes time for channels to grow an audience base.

Most of the results are going to be structural and visual parts. As well as the clarity of the message for future clients. The foundations for a strategy that can hold long term.
